Germany’s Opportunity Card:
Your Passport to a German Job!

Good news for skilled professionals outside the EU! Germany has introduced a new visa, the “Chancenkarte” or “Opportunity Card,” designed to simplify the process of finding employment in the country. Launched on June 1st, this points-based system offers a clear pathway for non-EU citizens to seek job opportunities in Germany.
How Does It Work?
To apply for an Opportunity Card, you have two main options:
Recognized Qualifications: If you hold a foreign professional or academic qualification fully recognized in Germany, you can directly apply for the visa.
Points-Based System: If your qualification isn’t recognized, you can accumulate points based on factors such as work experience, language proficiency, and salary offers. You’ll need a minimum of six points to qualify. This is how the points system works:
